MACRA is once again showcasing local ICT innovations at ITU’s Telecom World event underway in Durban, South Africa.

Taken on board this year is an automated mushroom cultivation system developed by Willie Kasakula and Jonnah Dickson who are bachelor of science in

computer science and physics graduates from Chancellor college.

According to the young men, they came up with the innovation to simplify the process of mushroom production among local farmers, which is believed to have high nutritional value..

Another exhibitor is Mayamiko Nkoloma who is showcasing three innovations among which is the e-health system that demonstrates the impact of ICT solutions on health care services.

The system is already being used in Malawi.
