MACRA conducts a midterm review of its strategic plan

MACRA, with technical support from the Monitoring and Evaluation Division Team under the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development, has conducted a midterm review of its strategic plan (2015-2020).

Speaking when a draft report of the review was presented to MACRA management in Zomba, MACRA director general, Godfrey Itaye, said the periodic review was important to take stock of MACRA’s performance in the past three financial years and identify areas that needed working on.

He thanked the M&E team for what he called an honest and fair evaluation which he said would be used in MACRA’s plans for the remaining two years of the strategic plan.

The evaluation covered the financial years running from 2015 to 2018 and has identified key areas for recommendation that MACRA can consider to ensure that the implementation of the strategy in the remaining years is effective and achieves the set targets.
